As part of the SINAMICS G120 frequency converter (composed of power part, control unit, operator panel), the Power Modules PM240-2 (protection degree IP20) feature a braking chopper (four-quadrant applications) and are particularly suitable for numerous applications in general machine construction.\nThe power part PM240-2 easily combines with various control units (Control Unit) depending on the type of application and safety requirements (e.g. STO, SS1, SBC, SLS, SDI, SSM). Together with Control Units CU230-2, CU240x-2, and CU250S-2, a fully operational SINAMICS G120 frequency converter is obtained. The PM240-2 with protection degree IP20 is a built-in device for electrical panels with powers from 0.55 kW to 250 kW and three voltage variants 200 V, 400 V, and 690 V. The Power Modules are available without a filter or with an integrated Class A network filter and in seven sizes, from FSA to FSG. To evacuate the dissipated heat from the electrical panel, the power part is also available as a Push-Through variant. The sizes also offer Safety Integrated functionalities. Thanks to the robust design, cable lengths of up to 450 m can be achieved (size FSF/FSG). For EMC-compliant wiring, shielding sheets and connection kits can be used.
