They have the task of safely separating an electrical system (user) from the network for the entire duration of maintenance or repair operations, to avoid dangers to people, machines and products. A safety switch is an additional main switch in an enclosure = power disconnector for a single electrical consumer, mounted in direct proximity to the motor or electrical consumer. It allows safe use by observing DIN EN 50110/VDE 0105. This is particularly important in cases where confusion between the main switches cannot be ruled out.
